The health center on the island is staffed with a doctor and nurses. There is always a doctor available on the island for accidents and urgent medical cases.
Citizens of EU/EEA countries get health services on the same conditions as people living in Norway.

TESTING FOR COVID-19
If you have symptoms of respiratory tract infection you should be tested for covid-19. Rapid antigen tests are available free of charge, please contact your employer or the health center.
Testing and all health care services related to covid-19 is free for everyone.
VACCINATION
Vaccines against covid-19 are available free of charge for everyone, including people from other countries. If you want a vaccine, please contact the health center or send an SMS to +47 47678975.
You can also get vaccines against influenza and pneumococcal disease while you are here on Røst.
COVID BOOSTER DOSE AFTER 20 WEEKS
A third booster dose offers extra protection against covid-19, in particular against the omicron variant. If 20 weeks or more have passed after your second dose, you can get a booster dose on Røst.
We offer the mRNA-vaccine from Pfizer-BioNTech, which is recommended as booster vaccine for everyone.
HAVE YOU ALREADY BEEN SICK WITH COVID-19?
One dose of vaccine gives added protection against severe disease for people who have immunity after covid-19 illness. You can get vaccinated three months after infection.
